PROJECT 6 - AMPHITHEATER STAGE (GROUP 8)

Pentas kami memerlukan banyak kepingan kayu. Setiap kepingan kayu mempunyai bentuknye yang tersendiri dan ia perlu dipotong sekeping demi sekeping.

This picture was taken on the day of submission this amphitheater stage. All of us feel happy that finally this project successfully done by our group. All of our hard work and what we have sacrifice were paid of.

Actually, this was taken on 3.40 a.m. All of our group members come and they willing to stay up until morning. This show that group 8 is committed in doing group project and have no problem working with each others.

Basically, this is our design for the amphitheater stage. Our concept for this stage is the grand canyon. Reason why our group choose something that come from other country in because we want something that different and come from our nature.

This is the end product of our stage. Our group have sacrifice a lot of things like money, time and many more. but all of that was paid off by seeing that the end product. Our group name this stage
 "THE CANYON".

At this moment, this stage is still under construction. We didn't put yet the furnishing like lighting, varnish, led screens, speakers, vegetation and many more. This stage was made up layer by layer of wood. Totally, this stage is made up of 99 layer of wood.

Exhibition and perfomance night

JOURNEY IN RUS 104

What I have learned in RUS 104???

I learned a lot of new things in RUS 104. In this subject, I learned the right technique on how to draw, colouring, improve my handwriting and many more. In RUS 104, I have to sacrifice a lot of things like time to sleep, money, time for leisure activities and time for resting. But, when I think back, what I have sacrifice this time, it will be granted by Allah in the future. Other things that I have learned in RUS 104 was harwork were not enough  but it must be with softskills. This was proven when I noticed that the student struggle in doing the project and assignments but it doesn't fulfill the aspectation of the lecturers. From the first assignment itself, I feel already hard because in this assignment I have to do my self-potrait and design my own logo that represent my self. For me, this things was not easy because it require a drawing skill and I don't have it. But, at the end, I manage to do it until the last assignment in RUS 104.

Last but not least, for me what I have learned in RUS 104 was a challenge aand I must faced it if I want to be a successful perason in the future.

Sculptures- Third Project

This is my sculptures. I got inspiration to makes this sculptures from myself. I'm using polyfoam, mounting board, different colour paper, white glue and thin wire. The upper part of this sculptures represnt the head. The middle part represent the body and the lower part represent the base of this sculptures. Every part of this sculptures have its own funtion and brings different function. For example, the base. It act as a support towards the sculptures. Without this base, the sculptures cannot stand properly. It same goes in reality. For a human tu success in life, there must be support in order to encourage someone to be successful person in life.

Project 5b- Neighbourhood Elements-Proposed Improvement.

We have to suggest some additional simple structures, landscape or street furniture to be provided in strategis locations in the neighbourhood area to make it more liveable and interesting place to line in.
We found that Setia Greens lack with facilities for disabled persons. There is no parking for OKU people and no special staircase for disabled persons. This things is a must because it makes the disabled persons to feels more comfortable to make their daily activities. Then, no public phone available at the Setia Greens. It is not goood because if anything bad happen and got no time to use thier cellphone.

This place also lack in recycle waste dustbind, mirror at every junction and street furniture. We propose all this things is because we will feel that Setia Greens will be a better place if they makes more improvement.
Project 5a- Neighbourhood Elements-Existing Condition.

This is the product of my project 5a. For this part, we have to identify what are elements that exist at Setia Greens.  Seti Greens itself located at Sungai Ara, Pulau Pinang. There are many elements that already exist at this place like play ground, street furniture, guard house, drainage system, tnb power station and many more. This things makes Setia Greens as housing area that do not have many problem.

Fifth Project

  • Students need to make a self-visit (in a group) to the chosen area to observe and gather relevant information about the components or elements of the neighbourhood area.
  • The result from the observation and the collected information the will be analyzed and presented graphically in Project 5a and 5b.

My group are responsible in doing site analysis at the Setia Greens, Sungai Ara, Pulau Pinang. This is our first time in doing site analysis and and we gain a lot of knowledge by doing this project.

Sculptures Submission Day

These are the sculptures done by first year HBP students. All of them have an amazing idea and creativity. This is proven on their sculptures. I'm proud to be part of them although my sculptures are not good as theirs but I'm still happy with my sculptures. It is not easy for first year HBP students to finish up this sculptures because all of us just get back from camp Pimpin Siswa. We have to overcome our tiredness in order to submit this assignment.  But all of us manage to overcome our tiredness and able to submit this assignment on the fix date.    :-)

Perspective Drawing

This is my drawing for perspective drawing. For the first I draw things using perspective drawing. It quite hard because we have to know how many points we going to use in order to draw perspective drawing.I love to draw this kind of prespective drawing because I'm  using different technique to draw this view. When Ar.Hariz mentioned about this theme (view of your  grandparent's house in a village with father or mother figure siting outside of the house and think about us), for me it is hard to draw because my grandparents are not living in a village house but they stay somewhere near to my house. Butfor me,don't give up without try it. I have try my best to draw this view an d this the product.

Natural Structure

This 2 pictures are related to my assignment about natural structure. I snap the first picture right infront to Perpustakaan Hamzah Sendut 2. This library located besides ti Wisma Eureka USM. I found that this picture is quite interesting to be drawn because the leaf and wood structure is a bit easy to be drawn. I'm using the combinations of 2B and 4B pencil. I want to have a lighter and darker tone tone in my drawing. That's why I'm using different type of pencil. to be honest, I do not know what is the scientific name for this tree but people said that this is christmas tree.

Man-made structure

I took the second picture (Real Wakaf) beside Pusat Islam Universiti Sains Malaysia. There is a lot of people gathered at the Pusat Islam due to Expo Convocation USM. So, many people have visited to USM. The requirements to draw man-made structure is it must have human figure, so at that time, there is a visitor sit for a while at this 'Wakaf'. Then, I decided to draw this 'Wakaf'.It makes me easy because it already futhfill the requirements to dram man-made structure.
For the second picture, I draw back the picture that based on the second picture. I'm using LUNA colour pencil. It quite hard for me to draw back the second picture because sincerely, I do not know how to draw and I do not not have basic in drawing. But, I'm proud with my drawing because I have try my best to complete rather than I didn't try at all.

The 'L' shape chairs

The first picture is my group 'L' shape chair.  We use mounting board, polyfoam, UHU glue, gold colour, ice cream woooden stick and cardboard. Basically, we are not using wood or timber like other group. My group decide ti do something that is different from other group. Our theme for this 'L' shape chair is traditional. Gold colour is use to make the traditional theme arise. It require a lot attention, detailation and time in order to complete this 'L' shape chair.

For the second picture, that is my group members for this assignment. The girl that in red shirt is Fizah and in the middle is Sha. My group gives their comitment while completing this assignment. For me, this kind of project require a lot creativity and patient.

Sculpture

This is my sculpture. I'm using mounting board, polyfoam, colour paper, wire and white glue. The colour that I applied to this sculpture is harmony because it brings peaceful mood to me when see it. There is 3 different colours of colour paper; pink, green, and gold. To be honest, the other reason why I'm using pink, green, and gold is because i really like the colours. The outline for this sculpture, I'm using marker pen.

We can say that this sculpture basically looks like human figure. The base (gold in colour) act as a supporter to this sculpture. As a human, they need support from others. Without it, we are nothing. The body (green in colour) is between the body and the base to this sculpture. For the head  (pink in colour), there is 6 arrow that represent human  sixth sense.

Practice using water colour technique

This is the drawing that have been produced by me when I'm using water clour. It is a first time for me to know the right technique when using water colour. I have try my best in producing this drawing. Although it is not so good but I have try my best. I'm using Buncho water colour. On next time, I will try t o do much better in colouring using water colour.

First Project - Design a Logo

What we can above, this is my logo. this logo represent myself because I always remember that in anything i do, there is a limit. The wor d that I focus more in this logo is 'LIMIT". It really fit to my logo. From what I have mentioned just now, we must know a that there is a limitations in doing anything. If we try to do somethings beyond our limit, it might affect our life. We shouldn't try to do it. for the tagline, I decided to choose "SKY IS OUR LIMIT". There is a connection between the word and the tagline. We msut work hard in anything that we do. Don't ever give up. Generally, we know that how far apart the distance between the sky and the ground. So, we  must work hard as many as we can until the level of hard work able to reach the distance between the sky and the ground.  Colour that I use in this logo, basically it is the colour of natural environment like green, blue and brown. For the design of this logo, it has it's own meaning in it. For the arrow, it means the right direction that we must find in order to be a successful person in the future. For the word orientation, I purposely draw like above becausse I want it to look like building structure.

This picture might be one of our project... HUHUHU...

In HBP, there is 7 major subjects... Architecture, B-tech, QS, Building Surveying, Urban planning, Interior design, and construction management... I'm in Building Surveying (BS)... As Dr Azree said, bs stands for 'Boleh Semua'... I'm not sure if we really can do everything... Is is impossible to do everything... But if we didn't try, we won't know... And remember that everything has a limit... We as a human, must know about the limit...
Housing, Building and Planning- Building Surveying...

It's a dream comes true for me to have a chance entering University... Especially Apex University... Not all students have the chance to enter this university... But thanks to Allah because give me another chance to continue my further studies... Before entering this university, I was studying in Penang Matriculation College (PMC)... In PMC, there was module 1, module 2 , modul 3 and accouting... I was in module 3... The subject that I have learnt there were computer science, biology, chemistry and mathematics... Although the subject that I learnt in PMC are totally not the same in USM,but  I still appreciate it and make it as a challenge to myself... When I get to know that I got Building Surveying in USM, I started to think of how this subject looks like... It is hard or easy.... Is there a chance to get a better job in the future... All kind of questions comes through my mind... But it's okey... For me, we won't know that how the things works if we didn't start it yet... Below here, I have inserted a piece of picture when I was in PMC...
